I know that blennies are hardy little guys but check this out...
My wife and I added our latest fish, a yellow belly blue tang and a yellow tang a while back. The lawnmower blenny (and all the other fish) freaked. The blenny was hiding by the overflow and I went to clean an area where he was hiding. I did not see him and he jumped into the over flow...it took several attempts to retrieve him, for he kept jumping out of my hand. We placed him back in the tank and he disapeared for about 3 days. We could not find him and my wife suggested we look in the sump, an absurd idea because he woudl have had to jump into the other overflow and would have ended up in pre filter...dead.
low and behold, he was laying on top of the filter media barely moist....and WHITE.. I picked him up, chunked him in the main tank where he hid for two days. Now he is fat, brown, and lovely....
I am glad he made it. he is my favorite fish...:applause:
