Saturday I was pretty busy, and I didn't get to really look at tmy tank until about 7pm ish. I then noticed that my my Coral Beauty Angel was seriously covered in something white, but not ick. It was prefectly health the day before, and I couldn't understand what the stuff was, it was white and looked like webbed dried glue even across the eyes. I couldnt catch it as it didn't act sick at all. So, all I could do was feed at that point. Yesterday, I was again busy, and I didn't look a the tank until about 5pm, and the Angel was dead, My golden headed sleeper goby, and a bicolor pseudo were all dead. My engineer goby who I have had forever looks like he is in the early stages of the same thing, and my Bluethroat trigger has some thing scaly on it as well. So far all I have been able to do is a 10 gallon water change, drop a large amount of fresh carbon into one of my reactors, and although my parameters were good 2 weeks ago, I bought a container of phosphate sponge to run in another reactor. This morning everything still appears to be alive. I am going to do another 15 or 20 gallon water change tonight to see what happens.
I just can't imagine how this happened overnight without any changes. I guess that is the way this hobby goes. I am not buying anymore fish for a good while. Coral seems to be much easier to keep-hahaha!

Oh no! So sorry to hear. Especially frustrating when you have no idea what the problem is (me either). Hope you don't lose any more.

Sorry to hear! Any chemicals get in the tank...perhaps a cleaner of some sort?

Nah, no cleaners. I don't wipe it down very often even. I am just hoping for the best. The fish in this hobby drive me nuts!!!

Yup, I am staying light hearted about it, but I am pretty down. I have been working pretty hard on this setup, and it just seems like I am destined for Cichlids!

Ya know, Cichlids don't fare to well in saltwater.
Things will turn around and you will be back better than ever!!!

no, no idea. I did 20 gallon water change this evening, and I came home to a dead 10 inch long engineer goby. The good news is I still have my Clown, blue throat trigger, and sailfin tang. The sailfin has been battling ick, but it looked pretty good today. Whatever was on the trigger seemd to be better today. The Clown hasn't been effected as of yet. All coral looks better than ever. I will probably do 10 more gallons tomorrow. That will be 40 total over 3 days. The thing tht sucks is I m going out of town for 5 days starting on friday. I have my nieghbor feeding, but I fuly expect no fish when I return. It has just been my luck lately, from car problems, to house problems, to aquarium problems, I can't catch a break.
