This is such a great hobby with such great folks. I just have to say thanks to Steve our President and his wife Sherry along with Dr. Mark for giving up their Saturday morning to help me switch out my LED's to MH and install a chiller. We arrived at the location at 8:30 and finished the job exactly 3 hours later and had a wonderful lunch afterwards.

I had gone with a Solaris I5 on a very deep tank (60 w x 24 d x 43.5 t) in an effort not to have to install a chiller as the installation is in a commercial building. The LED would have been a great choice on a shallower tank with limited corals but as usual I have to do things to the MAX.

Anyway, my hat is off, thank you again,

James, it was our pleasure to assist you. It is nice to see someone so passionate about the Hobby. As Mark stated, no thanks is necessary. Helping fellow Reefers is what MAAST is all about. Please keep us updated on the progression of your tank.

James,
First of all it was a total pleasure to participate in a project that went together so well. Mine usually take multiple trips to somewhere and extra $$. This was a super day that we thoroughly enjoyed. You have a NICE set-up. Thanks for yours and Dr Mark's hospitality. You both have superb tanks.

You need us again, please let us know.

I am also in Corpus Christi.
Just a question. What was the problem that cause you to change your light?
Does it not produce enough light?

The LED's would work in a shallower tank without stony's. My favs, zoes and other soft corals are doing ok but the others have zero polyp extension. Dr. Mark and I purchased identical frags off identical parents and it's like night and day when it comes to polyp extensions. I was trying to avoid the chiller but have now installed one and found the perfect place. Dr. Mark said you were ramping back up so let us know when you get started if you need any help or would like to get together to share experiences, etc.

Mark's coral's polyp extension is unbelievable. His circulation and feeding have lots to do with that. His polyp extension is difficult if not impossible to match.

You are too nice, but thanks.
Just lucky so far to hit on right combo of lights, flow, wavemaker, etc.
Hope I dont screw it up with the recent addition of the Kalk and Pohl's Xtra dosing.
