I have not keep aquarium for a while but Reefkeeping is a disease that there is no know cure. So after I sold my 400 g tank several years ago and not doing anything for several years I started again.
I had small tank in my son's classroom for the teacher the year before last. When school is out, I took the tank home and keep it at home. As alway, animals just cannot stay in a 20 g tank for very long and I like anemones.
I just recently change my H. magnifica from a 20 g tank to a 30 g Cube. I know that this guy will outgrow this in the near future. For now, he is doing well. I had him since the end of September 2008.
Here are some pictures I took today with a point and shoot camera.

I had him since the end of Sept. 08. Thanks. He is really small as far as H. magnifica goes. I am sure I will have to move him out of this 30 g tank sooner rather than later.

Here are more pictures of my anemone and tank. I have added a sand bed and a thick layer of shell on top of the sand to keep the sand from blowing around and to cultivate 'pods' for a Mandarin which I added several weeks later. Only three fish in the tank, the Mandarin which is fat female, and two clowns. Due to fading color of the Onyx, I change to clown to this tank to a (snowflake X A. percula) and a baby Picasso and removed the Onyx pair to another tank, their color recovered. I did learn that A. percula can loose their color with H. magnifica like with H. quadricolor.

There are actually 4 PH in addition to the refurn from the skimmer. That was why I added the shells in the first place to keep the sand from blow all over.
Thanks Texreefer and hobogato

The anemone under my care for 7 months now. Not much new other than I removed all the SPS to another tank. Now just the Anemone, one clam, Mandarin, and a Pistol shrimp (I will add a shrimp Goby in the near future)
The tank is absolutely swarmed with crustaceans. I tried but cannot take a picture to show this. Maybe I will add a second Mandarin but that is remain to be seen.

Thanks everybody.

I got some time this weekend so I took some picture this AM. I added my Mandarin into the tank about 3 months ago. She is getting fatter and is a fat mandarin at this time. Here is a rare picture of her. Also a FTS of the tank today. I turn this tank into a H. magnifica and frag tank, so there are a few SPS and various corals in it. Of course a picture of the anemone and the not-always-happy clowns couple. They had lovers quarrel now and then. Lastly the picture of my Crocea in the same tank

Here are the picture of my clams taken this weekend. I took it to enter into the POTM contest but will also post here so everybody can see.
The magnifica is doing great. I start to feed it more and it is growing. I lost my Female Percularis. She jumped out of the tank last weekend I am not sure why. We got home from a trip and she was a piece of dried fish on the floor. It was a sad day for me. Only three fish in the tank, male Percula and my Mandarin. I never have a clownfish happy in a tank with an anemone and jumped out before. Here are the Clams pictures

Thanks everybody. the color of this anemone is very unusual IMO. Not very often that I see a yellow anemone, especially one that is so bright yellow. A H. manifica at that.

My new H. magnifica. Under my care for 1 week and have not deflated. I fed he some dry flakes today. I cannot chance she eat some bad food. She ate it a little slow but ate all the flakes I squirt into her tentacles. I got this anemone also from Aquarium Master last week. It is in my 58 g tank at my office under 250 W DE 14000K MH

Thanks everybody.
I fed this new H. magnifica today with a small piece of table shrimp and some mysis. She ate them quickly. I will feed her every few days until I think the regain her strenght then just as needed but not get her to grow too much. 58 g tank is not big and she will outgowth it quickly if I don't watch it.
Justahobby,
My other mag is not red but orangish base with yellow tentacles. I also have two non hosting Pacific anemones that are brownish in that tank. These anemones are very small anemone only about 2-3 inches in diameter and easy to keep. Theya re not red, but I wish they were.
