I am thinking about upgrading to the tek 6 bulb light not sure if its going to be worth it to me currently I have a 4 bulb sundial t5 set up 4x54 and a 2 bulb glo fixture as a supplement. First of all would it be worth it to upgrade and would anyone be looking at buying either fixture?

Don't know the price difference but I have the Aquatinics TX5 that also comes in the 48" model. Difference is it has the colling fan and only five bulbs to the TEK and the bulbs/reflectors are in a parabolic shape. Supposedly from all the reading I had done this five bulb configuration had better results than the TEK six bulb. Who really knows though without putting par meater on each with basically same bulb configs except for the extra bulb.

got a link? Is it the enclosed fixture, or could it be removed? Waterproof endcaps?

Also, the aquactinics fuxture uses the icecap SLRs... :)
