Well my tank has been up for about two years 125 gal with 50 gal sump everything was running great all my corals growing looking good, my frined ricky81 had some coral that were not doing good so we placed them in my tank and the next day the water was a liitle cloudy looking and all my sps died completly white my mushrooms small my star fish and sea cucumber died , my digi and glams and some zoas and nephteia tress still alive i just have no idea what happened after one day i have no idea what happend.

i checked my water and
ph 8.2
alk 3.5
temp 79
calcium 360 its usually between 420-440 i don't know what happened to calcium
ammonia, nitrite nirtate phos are all zero

i placed one liter on carbon in a fluvol filter that i have and changed out 35 gal of water running my skimmer wet and leaving the light in sump on 24 hours for my macro i don't know what else to do and what happened

i was thinking that ricky81 has some alk/calcium problems and the coral of his killed all of mine

Sorry this happened, but i think the sea cuccumber may died and cause all this. They known to nuke alot of tanks. Or it may be some of the equipment gone bad. I doubt bad corals from your friend that caused it.....good luck and speedy recover.

Sorry to hear this, I know how you feel.. if you took in some corals from another tank and they were not doing well, a big change in ph would have set of RTN in one or more of those corals. this would cause your ORP to drop sharply affecting other inhabitants, and Giau is right, once that cuc goes it will likey nuke that tank with the toxins it releases.

make sure you are running lots of carbon and doing water changes. if you can use a filter sock or some other mechanical means of filtration do so this will help with any harmful suspended debris.
