I HAVE NOTICED ALL THIS WEEK MY BLUE HIPPO TANG IS ACTING LIKE IF HE IS DYING. HE HAVENT ACT LIKE THIS LIKE IN ALONG TIME! HE IS EATING WELL AND HE SOMETIMES SWIM GOOD BUT MOST OF THE TIME HE IS JUST ACTING OR IDK IF HE IS ACTUALLY DYING CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHATS GOING ON WITH HIM

Blue hippos are very strange fish. Can you describe a little more what the odd behaviors are?

Sometimes he moves the mouth to much like of oxygen its needed..and he just lay down but thats all what he do!

O yeah and i have two other small hippo tangs idk if thats part of the problem. this is all the fish i got right now. Powder Blue tang , Yellow Tang, Gold Rim Tang, 3 hippo tangs, 3 marron clown, a percula clown, foxface , and a puffer

How big is your tank? THats a lot of tangs. Tangs really like breathing room

that is basically 7 tangs (the foxface is very tang like). i have 6 in my 240 gallon and wonder if it is too many......

is the hippo that is acting funny eating?

Well its kindda weird cause it just got like that from the night to morning! and now i already took out 4 fish wich is the yellow tang powder tang blue hippo tang and a marron clownfish!! and he is still the same way his nose is red like if he had blood in there!!

You need to work on great water quality and great nutrition immediately if you want to keep this guy around. What do you feed?

yeah he haves that disease. i feed him formiula one and green seaweed!!they told me to feed him with vitamines!!

I'd work on water quality too, reduce stress while trying to revive.
