I believe I have seen these items or ones similiar to them on ebay. try searching for 150 or 250 in the lighting section under the pets. they claim to be built along the same lines as aqua medic. they have the same shape and design.

i used to read alot about them when i was into the planted tank thing.... ive heard that the T5 units were alittle cheapish and the mounting legs were CRAP but the the MH were good(except bulbs)...for the price im still thinking of trying them out. I just checked them out again and almost all of their units have changed with the addition to the LED on the t5 and now you can put T5's and MH together...prices went up on the units as well. ive read more good then bad about them

I know Jessinator runs 3 of the 2 bulb T5 units on her tank. She has said the bulbs are crap compared to the name brand bulbs. She also said that their customer service was good. She got a unit with broken bulbs and the where quick to send new ones.

There is no need for fans on a 24" 4 bulb t5ho unit. I ran 2 2 bulb 36" units and the fixture didn't even get very warm.

The mh/ t5 combo looks cool I like the set up only thing I worry about is the reflectors and the ballast. It does not specify if they are ind. or not.

I was more referring to the MH fixtures, but thanks I wasn't sure if the T5HO would run warmer.

Where do you see a combo? If you look under MH they list an electronic ballast under product description. Hope that helps.

I think you have to buy them seperate and they fit together some how if you look on the main page it says mh/t5 combo or some thing, and you can see how they slide together.
