I have a brand new 5 micron sediment filter, RO has been backflushed for about 10 min and i'm barely getting a drip out of my product line.. any ideas? The only other filter that might cause a slow down is the carbon block right?

Well - you could have a few things going on:
* any of the prefilters other than the new sediment filter could be clogged
* you could just have low line pressure. What is your pressure gauge reading?
* your membrane could be clogged with scale
* Cold water could be contributing to the slow production

Ahh didn't think about the cold water thing,, it started right when it got cold and my line comes in from outside.. my pressure guage reads almost 80 always has

Just to make sure - is your pressure gauge installed between your last prefilter and the in port on the RO membrane housing?

As to the effects of cold water (from the calculator on our web page):
75 gpd membrane @ 80 psi @ 77 degrees F -> 128 gpd
75 gpd membrane @ 80 psi @ 55 degrees F -> 83 gpd

Sediment filters are radial flow (flow from the outside in rather than from end to end). Can you describe how one was installed upside down?

It just struck me - I bet subsailor was thinking about a DI cartridge being installed upside down.

yeah yeah i am dumb thats what i meant. I saw it happen yesterday guy had been trying to figure it out for a week and a half and he had replaced it a week and a half ago upside down. Sorry to derail
