preping live rock

I bought some live rock from a person. His tank was not running for a week or so. There was alge on the rock. I have scrubed it clean and have it sitting in some new water with a pump and light. How long before I should use it in my new tank?

if there was a powerhead you may be ok. Check the levels of the water it's in.
