Thank you, yes I'm quite proud of my purple long tentacle. I'm amazed on how much it has grown. I have read that it will get a few inches bigger than it is in the picture.

The carpet anemone is an S. Mertensii. rarely in the trade or mis identified as a haddoni. Some might not be impressed with its colors as much as the purple long tentacle. You should see this carpet under actinics though..omg its yellow tips look like they are neon orange. I don't have a good enough camera to capture that. All I have is a HP point and shoot digital camera, with only 5.2 mp..lol

Again, thank you for the kind comments :D

Super nice Christina, I wanted to post a few days ago when I found out I couldn't through my neglect to pay dues!

Can you post specifications on your setup? Lights, salt used, skimmer, other "stuff" you dose and what you feed the anemones?

Thanks,

Todd

lights
Orbit fixture 560 watt: 2-150 watt 14k HQI, 2-130 watt actinics and 6 lunar lights.
Salt
we did use coralife..switched to red sea July 2008
red sea pro kept at 1.026<tested by refractometer
10% water changes are done weekly.
salt is mixed with RODI for 48 hours in a trash can out in the garage. mixed with a koralia #3 and air stone.
Skimmer
reef octopus DNW 150
recirculating protein skimmer.
Dosing
iron for the macro algae once every two weeks
twice a week I add a little selcon.
Refugium
refugium use to be a sump..I took out all the bioballs and turned it into a refugium by modifying a little bit.
I added live rock, refugium mud and macro algae.
there is an ATO connected to the refugium to keep SG stable
Anemone Food
SFBB Squid cubes, Marine Cuisine, PE Mysis, teaspoon of finely chopped up silversides(only for the mertensii) the purple lta gets a whole one, little pieces of shrimp and what ever they can catch when I feed the fish.

I don't feed them this list all at once.

I feed them once a week, and I try to mix things up. As in squid one week and shrimp the next week and so on.

Carbon Filter
I have marineland 350 filter full of carbon connected to this tank. When you have two anemones in one tank, carbon is a must.

If there is any thing else you want to know about this aquarium ..feel free to ask. :D
