My RBTA split a couple weeks ago and know I have two large RBTA's in my 35g tank. Needless to say they are killing all my sps! First one with $80 get it.

He posted that it was still available after your initial dibs request...

I noticed that... and when he PMd me that the original person had backed out and it was still available and I responded in 10 minutes I assumed that communicated that I still wanted it. Then seeing someone saying it was working out great for them prompted me to respond since I had never been told that I wasn't getting it... but thanks for your help, it was really useful

hmmmm, sounds like someone is being sarcastic. Sorry about your luck, was just trying to help. I have a GBTA, PM me if you are interested.

yeah, that was a little bit of sarcasm... sorry to vent at you but I have had poor luck with trying to buy things from people on this board lately and an uninformed response just kind of got under my skin. At least this guy just blew me off and didn't sell me something with a false description and then tell me too bad when I asked for my money back like the last guy.

When things are sold here, for some reason folks seem to think it's a "first come, first served" kind of thing. It's not. If I post something for sale - ESPECIALLY livestock - and I get several responses, why should I not be able to choose who gets it?

It's a seller discretion most of the time, but at least throw out some explanations why it goes to other people.Like the time you(Bill) were donated some SPS to the Donation Program. You clearly stated that "there are some people out that you owed favorite to, will get first shot." and that is cool. I personally go by the FIRST COME FIRST SERVE myself.

Hey, if you want to PM someone and tell them that its still available if they want it and then sell it to someone else that's your call as a seller. I'd appreciate as a potential buyer something that tells me I'm not getting it so I can stop making plans to drive to SA. That's all I was saying, the only way I knew I wasn't still getting it was someone else posting how great it was in their tank... but whatever I'm not trying to make a big deal about it, all I did was ask if the reply I saw meant I wasn't getting it anymore.
