i don't know about anyone else but i really like to look at refugiums. i was at ping's house this weekend and was impressed with how many refugiums he had going. it is interesting to see what kind and how much life will grow. the fuge for my tank is a 40gl tub with 4 large mangroves and many smaller seedlings along with multiple types of calurpa and cheato. the tub sits next to the tank and is open for display. lets see some pictures of refugium set up that you have (ping), maybe it will give others some ideas of how to set up theirs.

I am thinking about setting up the 24x24x12 tank that I got from Steve as a fuge/seahorse tank(low flow) in my bedroom. My wife has been wanting some of them for a while, and I go that route with some more research.
On another note, I wish I had my 50 gallon fuge displayed on my 125. Ace gave me all kind of macro, and I have some mangroves growing like crazy in there. Too bad it is behind closed cabinet doors:(

I really should take some current pics.
I wanted to be able to see my fuge so I built it into the side of my stand. Unfortunately I can't get anything interesting to grow in it.

Where can you get one of those rubbermaid tubs and do they make them smaller?

i picked it up at a feed store off 281 north, or at lock-hill feed and seed off huebner. i think they have some smaller ones.

hey joe, i don't think that the thirty gallon tanks from steve would be to good for seahorses since their low height but it would be pretty good for some pipe fish. i wish ping would post a picture of his 30 gl set up because it gives so many ideas of what to do with that style of tank.
