I’m in the middle of my biggest tank build :). My new tank came with an IWAKI 1800 pump. Have the tank cycling right now but the pump has been making a god offal screeching sound since I first turned it on this morning:at_wits_end:. At first thought it just needed to warm up never used and external before. It did quite down considerably but it’s still hard to be in the same room for a long time. It sounds like a constant metal on metal. Anybody have any ideas what is causing and how I can remedy it? When I bought the tank sump and pump it was on and I don’t recall much of anything but a low hum.
