If the algea is at the base then just cut the frag and throw the base with algae away.

I cut off the rock the frags were on on and sprayed the bubble algae off but it still has a clear slime all over it...when you put it in water you can see clear streams of the slime moving with the flow ??? No clue what it is or how to get it off other than spraying it down without ruining the frags although spraying it down doesn't seem to be working. Right now they're all in quarantine.

Most SPS have a natural 'slime' coating. It helps to catch food and is a protective barrier.

That's what my tank looked like when I held some corals for someone. You can gently pull it off or aim a small power head at it to break it loose, but I wouldn't worry about it.

Erik is correct. that particular acro is called a green slimer for a reason. After it settles down and gets enough flow to it the slime will come off. The more you touch it though the more it will slime and may end up hurting it in the end.

I read somewhere, when transporting or adding corals, make sure they do not touch each other to avoid chemical warfare for survival.
