It's been awhile! I miss my old MAAST family.
I'm thinking about getting back into reefing.
Last summer I graduated from UTSA with my EC-4 teaching degree. I got hired at Candlewood ES in the Judson ISD. I currently teach first grade. Oh yeah, I also got married last June!
So time to make this teacher money work for me.
Essentially, I am starting from scratch but I do have a couple of items left over from way-back-when.
I currently have: 1 - unopened can of pickling lime and 1 - Hyperflow pump, lol. Is this enough to start a tank in my bathtub? (J/K)
Allright, Tater, Ace where you at? Ima need some help!
Mattk, I want my refractometer back now!!!

Are you going to set one up in your classroom or at home?
Glad to see your back. It's nice to take a break and come back with fresh ideas and interest.

I plan on setting one up at home. I could use the stress relief when I am in my home office.
The break has been nice. More recently, I have been dreaming that I have a reef tank. I think that is a sign; Besides I miss reefing.
I have some ideas for a tank. I'm pulling together a post so everyone can see.

Looks like you are more than halfway there with that equipment list. I say go for it!
Good to see your back.
You ever get your yard looking good? If I remeber correct we talked about it - been a while so it is kind of blurry in my head.

Yeah, my grass was the bomb but my crape myrtles haven't taken to the soil that well. I'm thinking of pulling the crape myrtles and planting some more forgiving trees. With the drought and my lack of watering, my yard will need a bit of intensive care come spring. Oh and I have some holes in my yard from who-knows-what animal.

Tater is here. How is teaching Christopher? If I can help just yell. Right now I am indisposed, I am laying on the 18th floor of the Nix listening for ghosts at night.

Teaching has been bumpy but overall good to me. I enjoy what I do and hope to continue for a long time.
I'm sorry to hear you're in the hospital. Hope all is well. I need someone to get xenia from, lol.

You make it sound like I borrowed it and never returned it. :Timeout:
It's still sitting next to my tank, I think I've used it once since you let me hang on to it.

I wouldn't be too sure about that Christopher. I have not heard very much from Matt these past months. One never knows.

He's just giving me a hard time. I talk to him almost everyday, play poker with him, and see him frequently.
Anyways, I'm glad he's getting back into the hobby. Maybe he will get me motivated to do a water change.

He was the best man at my wedding, got me a pan to make chicken wings for Christmas (I'm still waiting for that Matt) and helped me home on New Year's Eve.
I'm just giving Matt a hard time. He's pretty cool and can easily be found.
Although, he is a busy man, I intend on getting Matt to perform a water change in his huge 12 gallon NC and even the 75 discus-less tank!
David, you must have forgot about all the banter between us "in the old days." Well, "we're baaaack."

P.S. - I beat him at Texas Holdem just about every night online.
