I am going to be placing an order with NoriDirect.com for my new tang babies coming in. Anyone interested in a group order? I don't need a full case so always willing to split an order.

I was thinking of the Nori 1/2 sheets for $44.00/case.
(10 packs of 100 1/2 sheets)

Looks like shipping would be $10 for 1 case making the packs of 100 - 1/2 sheets $5.40 each. That is a lot of nori for tangs!!!

Just make sure you soak this nori before feeding. There's a LOT of phosphate in it...

Is the phosphate from the roasting process or just due to the nature of nori?

I don't know what it's from - just that I tested the water it soaked in, and after doing some calculations, decided that on a weekly basis, the nori added too much phosphate to be safe. So, I soak it before adding.
BTW, I've switched over to mostly romaine lettuce.

OK, I have decided to go in a different direction than the nori. I found a website that sells dulse seaweed. I have heard mention on ReefCentral of people feeding this to their tangs. It is sun dried only - no further processing. I am going to order some and give it a try.
Cost:
1-3 Lbs - $12.50 per Lb.
4-9 Lbs - $11.50 per Lb.
10-19 Lbs - $10.25 per Lb.
If you would like to give it a try, I could add to the order.
