Yep, I'm a nerd and left my frozen fish fool out. It's plankton and krill frozen cubes in the plastic and foil, unopened...

...is it spoiled or is it still good? It's been out for about 15 hours. Ijjust tossed it back in the freezer until I get an idea if it's still good or not.

Thanks.

LOL! Thanks Mike. Some times I think I make things seem like such hard decissions, especially the ones that seem so simple.

Ummm... if it was food for me and my family...it would definitely get thrown out...so why in the heck did I get caught up with this one??? LOL.

i have refrozen food multiple times and never had problems

I normally thaw them out and mix them all into baggies so I get a variety for the fish everytime I feed...but the problem is that when I was doing this last night I got caught up in some other things and left the packets out over night...14 hours.

So I'm assuming they are spoiled???

When you throw it out the other animals in the area will just try to get to it and eat it if possible. Remember what's ruined for us isnt always true for others.

Well I've eaten food myself that's been left out for 14 hours, what's good enough for me better durn well be good enough for my fish. I don't think they care if it's spoiled anyway, the idea that our fish require fresh perfect food is kinda funny now that I think about it.

What's funny is that after the last Dr. F & S group buy - about a MONTH after the buy, I found a pack of food in the floorboard of my car's back seat... I wonder who's it was - anyone come up short?

I've done that before and ended up throwing it out. I used to mix about a weeks supply together at a time and keep that in freshwater in the fridge. That way if I accidentally left it out overnight it wouldn't waste too much. Usually noticed the smell as soon as I walked into the kitchen the next morning. I've also accidentally left the cup sitting on top of the tank after feeding.

Sometimes our brains don't pay attention to what our body is doing. One day I got a mostly full gallon of milk out of the fridge to pour me a glass. I had opened the cabinet above the sink to get a glass and without thinking put the gallon of milk inside the cabinet when I was done. The next day I couldn't figure out what happened to the milk that was supposed to be in the fridge!
