I bought the tubing for the return on my sump today. What do I use to seal the threads?

Well if its a pvc to pvc connection that can be permanant, then regular pvc cement will work fine. Don't forget to use the primer.
If its threading into a connection you want to remove later, then regular teflon tape will work. I've also had success with the 'liquid teflon tape'. Like a brush on mush of teflon and other junk. I would only use the liquid version on connections outside the sump.

Yep, use PVC cement but primer first!

For the threaded sections I always use "Great White" or another brand that is similar. The stuff is like below and they also sell the smaller tubes. Have yet to have a leak using this stuff compared to teflon tape, hate to say never but so far so good.

And like Mr Cob said, always use primer before the PVC glue. Always better safe than sorry on plumbing though.

For threaded connections I just use silicon. Just put a dab on the threads, spread it around with your finger, and screw on the connection. Works awesome even with pressure rated pumps 1500gph
