bulk di resin

I am about to purchase some di resin from bulk reef supply and was wondering if you sell in larger amounts. they have 15lbs for 79.99 or 74.99 if you buy 2. I go thru alot of this stuff and want to purchase in bulk to save. I would prefer to purchase from a maast sponsor so please lm. thanks , mike

Hi Mike - We can match that - thanks for thinking of a sponsor first! Also be advised that you really shouldn't buy more resin than you'll use in about 6 months. There is a shelf life issue.

How much resin do you want? Non color changing?

I have been buying 5 lbs at a time from the filter guys(non color changing). As far as shelf life is concerned I was under the impression that it doesnt start to degrade until you open the bag. Can you sell me a large amount of resin but seal it in bags that will fill a single cartridge so the unused porton left in the bag wont degrade? The best brc could do was assure me that thier bags are resealable like a ziploc or I could iron them shut. And that the 15lbs came in two bags.I go thru50-60 gallons a week with top off and water changes.I have two di cartridges and rotate them as soon as I see tds on the 1st one. I havent actually calculated how fast my resin lasts before tds appears but its about a month ish. thanks ,mike

We don't bag the larger quantities in the small amounts - part of the price break comes from the decreased amount of handling we have to do. We use the bags the resin comes to us from the manufacturer in. So you want 15 lbs non color changing resin split in two bags. If you'll pm us your email address we'll send you an invoice.
