Any opinions or experiences with horseshoe crabs?

Yes. All died. Really quick.
It's my understanding, you need a very large sandbed for them.

Had two a couple years back and they both died after a couple of months. They turn the sand up like nothing else, but I guess that is why they starve so quickly. I tried spot feeding them. Not sure if they were eating anything or not.

They also get very large. It's probably best not to buy things for your tank that prey on your microfauna.

I agree with all said. I used to live up in Md and when my family would go to the beach they’d be everywhere. With my first 55g salt tank I had one that started off about the size of a quarter lived thought 3 malt cycles getting to be about the size of a common computer mouse till it must have out eaten the tank and just up and past on me, all taking place in about 4 or 5 months. Always wanted a replacement but couldn’t do that to one IMO they grow too fast and uncontrolled for a tank to sustain.
