I'm setting up a new AGA 65g and am in the process of plumbing it to the sump (30g). I got a glass-holes overflow kit and drilled the overflow for a 1.5inch bulkhead in the back center glass. For the returns, I drilled 3/4ich bulheads with locline fittings in the back upper corners. Plan will be for overflow to drain down and split into two to drain into the skimmer section and refugium. Are there any problems with some 90 degree bends in the overflow drains? Also, where should I place any valves? Will be using a Mag 9.5 for the return which will split to exit the two returns. Finally, still debating on skimmer...either Euroreef RS135 vs. ASM G2($100 cheaper). Any thoughts?

Looks like your on the right track.
I would try to avoid using 90 degree bends on the drain. Try using a combination of 45's if possible.
As for the ball valves, I'd put one on the output of the mag pump. You could even go as far as putting one on each side of your split return so that you could dial in the flow if needed.
Remember to use unions where at all possible! It will come in handy for taking the pump(s) offline for cleaning or moving stuff around. You can get true union ball valves locally at Lowes, or you can get better quality ones at www.savko.com
Don't forget to setup some sort of siphon break on your return lines so you do not drain a good portion of your display down into your sump in the event of a power failure.

I second the union ball valves!!!!! Ace recommended this to me and I can't imagine the heartache I would have if it wasn't for those things. The ones at Lowes are more than adequate, and they aren't cheap either. I find the only reason to buy others are if you want gray ones instead of white.

The true union ball valves you get online, like at savko or other vendors, with the red handles are built a little better than the standard white ones you can get at Lowes. They use a better material for the bushing that the valve rotates on. This will allow you to turn the valve with ease. Comes in real handy.
