Well I picked up the new Solana 34G at RCA during there BIG sale, and thought I should post some pics. Just keep in mind the tank is by no means complete. I am still deciding how I want the LR, so for now I just laid it in the tank until I can figure out how I am going to do this, but more than likely the LR will be in some form of arch with very little making contact with the sand. I am working with some acrylic rods trying to perfect the art of bending to the shape I would like. Also I am still waiting on my 250W MH that I recently ordered.

I was going to say. Whew, a 250W monster hanging above that tank? Won't have a problem growing anything in there, but an Actica nano chiller might be in your future.

I have read several threads about this. A lot of the people that were hanging a 250W over their Solana got by without having to get a chiller. I think I will order a couple high power fans, and hang the light pretty high. Hopefully this gets me by, but if need be then I will order a chiller. Will continue to post pics as I go.
-mikedelgado, the rock looks great. I broke up a lot of it and drilled it yesterday. Hopefully it will make an appearance in a new way in the tank in the next few days. Also, I may need to get some more LR from you, if it still available, but I will let you know ASAP. Thanks again

This morning I got off work and immediately began working on the aquascape. I started by scooping all of the sand out in order to effectively place the acrylic sheet. :( I then moved in the acrylic and replaced the sand. I then began working on the arch, which was a lot of fun seeing how there was so much sand stirred up that I couldn't see what I was doing. Well I got most of the aquascaping completed, I still need to move the remaining LR off of the sand, and give everything a good cleaning, but for the most part it is done. Also, my Aquamedic 250W MH with a 14K phoenix came in today so I hung that up. Here is a few picks of the progress, still along a way to go but it is coming along nicely. Sorry the water is still so murky I will post new pics when everything clears up. Also, the pictures are not very good and really don't do this any justice, but I will keep working on my photography and hopefully improve.
I can't get any of the pics to upload, but if you would like to check it out I also post to Austin Reef Club. Here is the link:

your not lying...I originally was going to have a one sided arch and only have it making contact with the sand in one spot, but I didn't have the guts to leave it so I added the second rod and made a complete arch. Hopefully this gives it enough support to never collapse, but if it does collapse then I guess I will just have to redo. That would suck, but it really wasn't so bad to put together. Plus it would give me an excuse to buy new coral:bigsmile:
