With the 190 coming online I started going through old pics for inspiration and boy did I find it, now I just need some $$ to go along with the inspiration. By the way if anyone has corals they got from me I'd love to get some frags of everything I had in the past, will pay for them too.

This is my 30 gallon cube that I had when I went zoanthid crazy. Lit by a single 250 watt 20kk XM.

Shot of my 75 gallon with DIY "Calfo" style overflow right before I took it down. I'd already taken a bunch of stuff out of it though before it dawned on me that I needed a pic.

My 12 gallon JBJ nano cube that I had up at the office for a while. I had to put that sticker on there because some peeps would come by and feed the tank 10 times a day and muck up my water.

My 180 with some yellow lights, thing these were Ushio 10kk's, shot from the right side and then left side of the tank, then the FTS.

Right middle and left side of the 180.

This was a 125 I had that was probably the most diverse tank I kept with a good mix of hard and soft corals. The lighting was a little weak and the water was a little nutrient rich but with that deep sand bed this tank ran itself.

22 gallon hex tank, Pendent is a Geisseman 150 watt halide.

...and here comes the new one, 60x30 and roughly 190 gallons. Maybe I should start a thread for it.

Make sure you take them boys out before adding water, they might enjoy it too much.

Maybe he's going for a more of a tourist type reef setting...Hanauma Bay?

LOL! They wanted me to fill it up with them in it!

Rob, I'm ready for the sand any time, thanks! I just have to figure out when I'll be out and about running around that side of town. These holiday shoppers traffic spooks me!

Ahhh, Hanauma Bay. Now that brings back some good memories. Need to get back to the Islands at some point.

Since you have run both Barebottom and with A DSB What do you prefer from your exp?

BB without a doubt, no maintenance, powerheads fall off the wall and you don't care because there's no sand storm, snails can all turn themselves over, lower nutrients, cleaner water, you can just pitch a frag in the tank and it'll grow where it lands... lol... so many benefits. Having said that I put a shallow sand bed in this new 190 and I'm still wondering what the heck I was thinking, not sure why I did it but I'll bet money it'll be gone within a year.

Update on the 190?

I think that 250 lbs of fresh rock I put in there is finally done curing or getting close to it, most pieces smell pretty fresh now. Unfortunately I only have about 100 in the display and the rest in the sump, I bought way too much rock and need to get rid of some now. :? Not much to update on the tank, since the rock was curing and I finished the skimmer build I just kinda let it sit and been hunting every weekend since it's December. All that is winding down now so soon I'll get my RBTA out of the Biocube and get a bunch of snails for the 190 and a sandbed charge kit. Who's got the good sandbed starters now days?

anymore pics of the 190?

I think I'll hang my lights tonight and I'll snap some pics for yall then. I still need to stain the cabinet doors too. LOL

Hey Jerry! That was a good little tank and one of the most simple to maintain that I've ever had.

None, they're all long gone. All I've got right now is a 14 gallon Biocube which I kept solely to hang on to my RBTA, and of course the 190 which is currently in startup phase.

I still haven't hung the lights or stained the doors and built some sort of canopy, but the tank is officially up and running. I decided to start a new thread for it: http://www.maast.org/forums/showthread.php?p=647489
