I have a lot of baby peppermint shrimp in my sump. I have seen this before but never have seen them grow. Is there any special care to get these guys to grow into full size shrimp.

did they breed in the sump? wow never heard of that

You will need to setup a rearing tank and feed them newly hatched bbs to get them through the larval stage. That's the hardest part, once they go through metamorphisis then they are just like miniature peppermint shrimp.

I think they bread in the tank but I have three inch drain pipes.

BTW, they can be quite cannibalistic, so expect heavy losses until after metamorphosis unless you separate all of the larvae.
