I have had a 3 inch lettuce nudibranch for over a week now, he is always crusing the tank eating algae and such with his body fully expelled, but today i look in there and there is only a head and his little "trumpet looking smellers or eyes whatever they are" lol. anyway can they shrink up like this, or did something detach his back half, he does have some slimy stuff coming out his back end but that could just be his butt, or is he definatly chopped in half? I thought it was wierd cause he was still stuck to a rock, and so thinking he might be dead i pulled him up into my turkey baster, which was no problem at all he's like a 1/4 - 1/2 inch long and observed him before tossing him out, and he stuck to the glass in there and started crusing again so i spit him back out on a rock and he took off. If he got partially eaten will he regenerate? He wont release any mass amout of poisens into my tank if he dies will he? Thanks!
