When I was going to leave for work this morning just before 6 am I checked the aquarium and there was one solid white cloud. I looked and the pump for the alkalinity for two part had dumped over half a gallon of sodium carbonate into the aquarium. I checked the KH was 14, pH 8.4, and Ca 280.
I had water already made to do a water change. I did the water change and checked again. KH 13, pH 8.2, and Ca 340. I use a filter sock and have changed it twice and both times it had a lot of white precipitate in it. The tank has cleared. I am now slowly adding Ca back.
All my fish, corals and clams seem to be ok. :whew: Any suggestions on what else I should do?
