light bulb problem

well whats up dudes i have a problem. I was floating some bags in my tank and one of the bags floated right under one of my metal halides and melted on it i turned off and tried to take off some of the plastic , but theres still some on there .. so i was wondering(hoping) if i can use something to take off that melted plastic w/o messing up the bulb ... pretty dumb huh!well any sugestions would be appreciated thanks .........

Perhaps a straight edge razor blade to scrape it then wipe any finger print grease residue off?

it will just burn off. It stinks but I have done it MANY times :)
