I'm wanting to make the back of my new 90g black. How would one go about doing this? Do you paint it? If so, with what and on the inside or outside. Is there something that you can stick or secure to the outside rather than paint it?

what i have done with both of my tanks is just spray paint the outside of the back glass black....some of us prefer it differrent colors like dark blue or just blue. whichever ur prefferrence is.

i use latex flat black paint from home depot.i roll it on with a really thin sponge type paint roller.i would suggest wiping the back really well with rubbing alcohol on a rag and then let it dry really well.it will take several coats but once it covers completly it looks really nice.i have done several tanks and also seen others do the same.it looks somewhat textured from the back but not from the inside.oh yeah you paint it on the outside of whatever sides you wanna hide.

krylon fusion on the outside. it's actually reef safe once dry, but most prefer to paint the outside of the tank.
I painted the back and the bottom of my frag tank.
