Super low light coral

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for a coral that would do well in my pico under low light and low flow. Right now I have some zoos and button polyps in there that are doing well. I was thinking something like elephant ear coral or some LSP of some sort. I don't know why but the coraline grows like NUTS in my pico even though it only has a 13w light on it. Also, if anyone has elephant or something nice that will work I will trade or buy from you.

what kind of planktons do you feed? Most gorgonians & carnations do very well under low light but they need to be fed. They can also be problematic because of their low survivability rates. I think thats because there low light, from deeper waters, and dont get the necessairy pressure that they need to survive in an aquarium but thats just my theory. If you dont feel like feeding planktons, at least not a ton of them, I would go with mushrooms, xenia, maybe star polyps even thou lots of books say some prefer higher light, or just try out other inexpensive softies. Other than that your pretty limited but that can be a good thing because then you get creative but with creativity comes success and failure, expect both.

I have a Toadstool that's doin' great and grape caulerpa helps maintain the tank. I also have different mushrooms, zoos, and xenia.

Mushroom coral do very well under that type of lighting.

I had a 2.5 deco and although the coraline is good and pretty, I would put my tuxedo urchin to clean it off the walls for me and then transfer him back home to my bigger tank. Rics, GSP, hairy mushrooms, and zoos worked for me. I have some neon green star polyps and some frags of aqua blueish palys if you are interested. I live in SA but drive up to Pflugerville 1 or 2 times a wk. PM me if interested.

I second the sun coral and shrooms. In my experience non-photosynthetic gorgonians and pretty demanding but are very rewarding if you don't mind brushing it free from debri on a daily basis.

thanks for the tips guys. The gorgonians are truly beautiful but it being such a small tank I rather not feed a lot. I like the sun coral and rics idea. I think I will go that way.

if you dont want to feed alot I would pass on the sun coral as they eat meatier foods than plankton.
