I recently purchased salt and carbon from gettankedaquariums.com
Each batch of salt is hand mixed so the trace elements are in constant check, and it does not contain anti-caking agents like other salts.

I felt the need to switch from my other salt due to the smell and brown residue that it had when being mixed. I recently mixed about 25 gallons for my new tank and I could not figure out why the tank water smelled and wy I was getting brown residue around the edge of the tank.

I found out about this company on the Zeovit forums, since they are about to release a mix for Zeovit users. So far Garry @ Get tanked has been great. Fast communication, fast shipping, and great products.
My review of the Organic 2 part mix:
I ordered five, five gallon mixes.
It dissolved in seconds, did not smell, and the SG was spot on for a 5 gallon change. I was also
surprised with all of the freebies included in my package too. It came with samples of a bunch of their products.
I just did a water change with the mix and everything in the tank looks great so far.

I am looking forward to seeing how everything will react to this salt over time.

Thanks for posting this Sean. I found it on Zeovit and I haven't heard many people talk about. Post your parameters when you can.

Hey Anthony, they come in different sizes, and I ordered the 5 small bags that make 5 gallons. I got 25 gallons worth of mix for $15

I won some of this stuff at a frag swap raffle about nine months back. I used it in one of my 10 gallon reefs for a few months and was not impressed with either the growth or color of my corals using this product. Honestly I had better results using Instant Ocean. If you want my opinion its best use was for freshwater livebearers, which is where the rest of this stuff ended up after my LOTRs decided to turn brown.

Ahh. That is too bad you had a bad experience with it.
Ill update the thread as I do more water changes with it.

You don't test your salt before you add it to the tank for the first time?

I tested for SG, but I don't have my test kits with me and all that is in the tank are ricordea.

The cost becomes less as you order more as well. The 5 individually packaged 5 gallon mixes I purchased come out to be the most expensive. For 150g @ 1.026 it is $50 as opposed to other brands that make x amount of gallons @ 1.020 or 1.021

I talked to him about the possibility of a group order yesterday. They are about to release their salt for people using Zeovit too!
