GARF makes a "mud" for your fuge, but you can just go live sand/rubble and macro. That is what most of us do.

Miracle Mud works very well but is expensive. A 4 inch or deeper sand bed of sugar fine sand with a macro algea makes a very effective fuge.
How big is your tank and fuge?

My tank is a 125 and the fuge is probably 20 gal. Right now it consists of 3 chambers, the first is full if live rock pieces about 20 lbs and the second chamber is empty. The third contains my protein skimmer. I am growing some mangroves in my top tank to put there eventually. I think the second chamber is designed for mud?? Should i just put sand in the bottom of it? I was looking for a substrate for the mangroves at least.
