So I ordered my live rock online and it is supposed to be delivered today. However, I ran into a small problem. The problem is, we are in the middle of a blizzard. We have over a foot of snow on the ground, 5 ft snow drifts and the wind is blowing 50 mph with gusts over 65mph. Visibility is about 15 ft from where you stand, if you dare to even go outside! :Timeout:

Just thought some people would like to know how my family and I are *acclimating* to the climate here in South Dakota....

Whoa... that sounds like a heck of a situation. I hope your rock makes it in soon. Good Luck!

Hang in there! Too bad they couldn't station you somewhere WARM, like Elemendor AFB (Anchorage, AK)...!!

Look on the bright side, you dont have to worry about your Live Rock getting over heated in the box.

At least the Mantis shrimp will be frozen to death.

I've heard of "cooking" live rock, but never "freezing" it. Let us know how that method turns out :D

At least you're not in Minot, ND... My unit did some joint training up there a few months ago... Wouldn't go there if you paid me civilian-type money to do so...
