Has anyone here ever had a yuma ricordia damage another coral? I am not talking about it just getting to large and covering one up, I am talking about a yuma touching an SPS coral and over the course of a day or two the SPS corals branches look as though the skin had been stripped/peeled off to the bare skeleton. I am wondering if that is what happened to one of my frags I made for a friend. My dumb butt forgot to move the SPS frag to another location while doing some tank design changes. I must say the yuma is the size a fiftycent piece and expands even bigger. I was told that ricordia were just mushrooms with bumps. Well please let me know of your experiences as I look forward to seeing if this a more common occurance in other peoples tanks.

i've had a regular blue mushroom do the same to my lime green cap. the cap had fallen on top of the mushroom and it seemed as if the mushroom sucked the life out of a patch of the cap, but a couple weeks later i noticed polyps and color re-appearing

Some yumas are considered an aggresive coral, so i wouldnt be surprised if they did damage SPS

It is very common. I have some zoas that are encroaching on a cap and the edges are not sloughing off, but just turning white.
