Anyone know where I could find a replacement fuse locally in San Antonio?
I wonder if it's a generic fuse that a Lowes or Home Depot might carry???
Thanks,

Do you have the old one still? It should show you the voltage and amperage it will handle. Radio Shack, Altex or even Atex might have it as well.

Ok, got a package of fuses at radioShack for $2.99 (for 4 of them). Altex only had up to 3amp and I needed a 7 amp fuse.
Replaced the fuse but ballast is still not working.
Anyone have any ideas?

As far as I know it didn't. I took it down when I upgraded to 2 x 250w MH and I re-wired the setup to support 2 x 110w VHO's for actinic supplement from a 4 wire configuration. I wired it exactly like the first setup on this chart:
http://www.icecapinc.com/document2.pdf
I don't get any flicker of the lights when I plug it in and all four of the lights give me the same result: Nothing. The lights are fairly new.
I did just burn another fuse though...so I'm not sure what's going on...???
Thanks for the help.
I'm thinking the ballast is no good...???

unplug it. unplug the harness going to the lamps. plug the ballast back in and see if it blows the fuse again. If it does then the ballast is bad. If it doesnt check the wiring harness going to the lamps , make sure you didnt pull out a connector causing it to short

Ok...did this several times. No more fuses blown, but nothing is working :( I Checked all the wiring time and time again...everything looks ok.
Question: I have 4 wires not in use, purple and brown. Do I pull them completely out of the system/harness or just leave them "as is" un-used? I just put some electric tape on their copper ends.
Thanks again for the help :)

OK...
I just burned 2 more fuses. I have one left...think I'll keep it LOL and write this ballast off as damaged goods!
Is that the consensus...that my ballast is bad?
Anyone have one for sale?
