So, I got home from work yesterday and found my cucumber on the side glass. I've never seen it do this, so I thought I'd ask if this should be something that I should be concerned with. He's grown quite a bit since the last time I saw him, but his color does seem a little faded. Could just be the growth, but better to ask.

Is this normal behavior?

I've seen them do that, one crawled out of my 'fuge and into the sump once and ended up sucked into the screen on the return pump. It didn't seem to mind all that much, went right back to cruising the sand bed after I pulled him out of there.

Besides the sand....they tend to graze on algae that's on the glass and on the rockwork.

They shed their skin sometimes. The coloring will become light and hazy just before the skin peels to reveal bright new colors. I was told they are healthy as long as the points stand out. Mine coats himself in sand sometimes. We caught him in Port A last summer during the BB PA Trip.
