Hello All! I've been putting together an 8 gal biocube for my brother for christmas, and now that it has fully cycled, I'm ready to start putting some things in there. I have a harlequin shirmp in my refuge of my main tank that I'd like to move over, but don't know if I should do that now or wait a while. Should I start with a cleanup crew and then something else? Plus, I'd like some suggestions on fun things that he can put in there once it is set up at his house. I know that I will have to watch the bioload with the harlequin. I intend to stock the cleanup crew in the tank and then give him a giftcard to a fish store so he can research what he wants and then get it on his own. But I'd like to have some suggestions for him, do a little preliminary research and let him choose from there.

I'd love to hear what everyone thinks about this. I'm going to start a setup thread soon to show my progress. Thanks in advance!

I've got a lot of those in my main tank that I will frag off for him once we set it up in his house. I just don't know whether to start with a clean up crew or if it would be ok to move the harlequin over now.

I don't see a problem adding him now. but add cuc asap after adding shrimp it would just help give the cuc something to eat/clean. imo

Cool, thanks. I thought I'd take a few of the little snails and a hermit crab out of my main tank and add them in with the shrimp. Our snails are reproducing like crazy, so I think we have a few to spare.

Anyone else have suggestions? We will move a few things over and see how it goes. We aren't in any rush.
