How can I remove hairy mushrooms off a rock?

Can anyone help me out? I need to find out how to remove hairy mushrooms off live rock. I would like to be able to do this without breaking the rock. I would appreciate any suggestions.

I used a screwdriver like a chisel and removed a chip of rock with the mushroom.

Razor blade or x-acto knife works too but it'll leave a bit of shroom there to grow again so if you don't want it there anymore the chisel is the only way. Well I guess you could cut it off with a razor and then apply some 2-part epoxy over where it was to kill it off.
