Here's a picture of the skimmer. I bought a new needle wheel impeller for it about six months ago. The collection cup has crack because I dropped it and put a bunch of weldon on it and it hasn't been a problem so I never bothered replacing it.

This is off of the Premiumaquatics site. It sure looks bigger than 8.5 inch diameter reaction chamber but I guess they are measuring the inside. That height is with the collection cup on and probably requires anothe 1/4 to 1/2 inch to remove.
