I'll second that. We get to hear and see so much about Ace's work, but I'm guessing I'm not alone in wondering about price ranges.

When will the catalog be available so we can all start shopping?

got the mangroves in today 3 of the 6 are branching and they are larger than i expected. I will have to raise my light a few inches. they are in fresh gradually going to salt. wish me the best. If they do well I plan to order more maybe even larger in size. I have read it is harder to keep convert them from fresh to salt as they get bigger. I plan to grow them on to some live rock i hope but i am open to ideas I plan to float them for a month or so

I have had problems with snails and fish going overboard due to the flow i have. This is a great DIY idea that I thought i would share. I made the top clear so i could see whats going on inside and vented as a backup just in case the side slots get clogged for some crazy reason slots are 3/16 wide machined by Me

CALFLO aka Coast to coast overflow

Before..

Calflo After..
Lexan top CLEAR for viewing inside of calflo black outer rim to match the calflo. This is removable at anytime with no modifications to original..Clean Simple just how i like it.

Love the tank, great work Ace. What lights are you using? Metal halide? T5? Hey, and what happened to the vortech? excellent choice on the rock, it seems like you can get a great view from every angle. Very clean looking setup.

Mon, 5th Jan 2009, 08:58 PM
did you get those from texreefer, if so that was a dam good deal.

BioCube14
Mon, 5th Jan 2009, 09:21 PM
the vortech is relocated below the calflo "hidden" behind the rock for a clean-er look it kinda blows through the hole in the middle of the 2 rocks and around it. Still tons of flow no matter where you put that vortech. I use a ATI t5 setup. I try to stay away from halides due to heat.

Added a TUNZE fan a few months back to prepare for summer so far I have it setup with my ACjr to turn on and off when it reaches certain temp. It has not been on that much but I have notice im these little tanks stability is everything!
As far as fish update I only have 3 glass cardinals in the tank the other 2 died on me for unknown reasons but I have heard they can be sensitive to keep for a couple months after that they seem to be easy.
