You could get a 5 or 10 gallon tank and put the rock with the aptasia in there. Starve it to death..thats what I did to the aptasia that I found on one of my rocks. One great thing about doing it this way is that you don't have to use chemicals.

If you can get one of those syringe type dispensers for baby medication, fill it with boiling hot water, shoot it into the aptasia's mouth, then pull the syringe back and suck it up into it.

I just bought a few peppermint shrimp and they had it all eaten up within a few days in my tank.

On the good side, just think now you can get a copperband. They love the baby ones.

If you are able to pull the rock out of the water, I have always burned them off with a lighter. I have totally ahnilated them that way in the past!

Peps worked on my infestation. The butterfly will go mid-evil on your corals especially zoas after they finish the aiptasia. :Timeout:

whatever you do, get rid of it asap...as this stuff spreads like wildfire with the right conditions and can become a severe pain in the rump!....There are several remedies, a natural one is the best recommendation...peppermint shrimp...my experience with them is that either they go nuts and eat all the aiptasia (glass anemones) or they wont eat any at all...so if you choose that route...hopefully you get the ones that like them.....Otherwise, you'll have to try injecting them with some tyoe of solution via syringe, I personally use some kalkwasser calcium pwoder and mix it with waer to make a thick paste 9i have heard that adding a dab of elmers glue to this mixture will help as well), then i inject each aiptasia individually...this works but is time consuming and needs follow up treatment.....I have a friend who injects hers with vinegar and supposedly it worked,...not for me though....didnt want to try that....best advice....shrimp, if that doesnt work...calcium injections....good luck, get it under control
Someone mentioned copperbanded butterfly....these fish will eat them also, but are not for the novice aquarists

Also whatever you do don't pull or scrape it off!!! Any pieces that get broken off or left behind will multiply into new ones.

WE do the injection route, but using lime or lemon juice... the acidity gets them. However, I think most of the time it just makes the mad and they come back angrier than ever. The small tank has a bunch which I nuked this past weekend, and already they are coming back... :(
