So, I spent most of my afternoon installing the new Vortech MP40Ws that I bought and recieved only this morning.
Fantastic pumps, very well made, very powerful, myriad ways of controlling them...........you all know that already.
However, my tank is 36w x 24d x 30h. Despite various positions and various modes I couldnt get them provide the flow I like. I couldnt even turn them up half way. It is a combination of a fairly tall and narrow tank, Rock and coral within 6 inches of the sides. If you look at my build, you will see.
I think the perfect tank for these wonderful pumps is 48+w x 24h x 24d or some variation of, with one on each end.
Anyhow, I am going to stick with the Koralias for now. I am tempted to hang on to them for a future build, but can get them later if needed.
Retail for the package of two MP40W and battery backup is $990.
I will sell all for $850.
These are brand new, tested for a couple of hours, full warranty, warranty cards not filled out, support of my local retailer if ever troubles. Was not an online purchase.
