Is anyone else getting an error going to the main forum page? Something about a security token. I'm using firefox by the way.

Yep, I get the same error. They're in the process of fixing the problem, I believe. At least I hope so, I can't access my CP.

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

Is this a problem with the site or my browser?

I tried all kinds of things, disabling cookies, disabling java, reseting firefox to the default settings, and everything still works just fine for me.

I uninstalled then reinstalled firefox to the same effect. I also get the same message using explorer. When I first log into the forum I get the message, but if I log in and immediately go to the home page nothing happens. When click back on the forum the message does not pop up.

You will have to clear all cache and close and re-open your browsers.
Thanks,

Some info that may help. When I first open the browser and go to the home page everything is ok. When I log into the forum I get the error message. If I don't close the browser and reload the page then the error message does not return. If I leave the page without closing the browser I can return without the error message. It only seems to do it once for each time the browser is newly opened.

Still having the problem. Everytime I log in I have to go to report to admin then go to forums from there and then it works till I post and starts all over again.

On 4 Oct 08, I received an email that said try it again. I did and got the missing token error. So, as a test I sent an email as directed from the link provided. In that email I said I believe there is other errors such as no one is replying to the emails. Which leads me to believe the emails from the error link are also not getting through. As of now same error; missing security token. I've tried various browsers and flushed the cache and cookies on all.

I have the same issue and I'm using Safari. I noticed that when I get the error message, then click the back button, it lets me browse around. But I can't post anything in the for sale forum.

oops, I just noticed non charter members need 50 posts. How do you count the amount of posts posted by the postee?

Happens on my laptop all the time. But just a thought here. My laptop "time" is off an hour. I never worry about it - 'cause I don't use it that often - generally only on the weekends at the boat.

So, TODAY, which is the start of Daylight Losing Time, everyone has this problem (I did too this am - on my desktop).

I'm thinking it may be related to a profile, time, and timezone conflict somewhere in vBulletin's software.

Just looked, and there's a "daylight savings time" y/n option. Maybe it's clicked "no", and there is a tie between your time, the time zone you supplied in your profile, etc... Just a thought.

you know, there may be something to that bill. it started to do it on my work computer just after the computer automatically switched to standard time (early because the switch was moved back after the computer was made)

hmmm well my computer is new this year, and has the 'newer' day light savings time saved in it. I know I changed my MAAST time zone to east coast time when I moved. I tried going to my user cp and it won't even let me in now to check.

I've been fighting this problem this morning as well. I manually set my clock ahead an hour then restarted my browser. We'll see how long thing work.

Ok I was able to get to my user cp. If I tried clicking on the user cp link to the right of 'portal' I would get the security token error. I then clicked the link to read your private messages in the top right of the screen....right below where it says 'Welcome, LoneStar' (or whoever)

From there it let me in so I could edit my profile. I turned the daylight savings OFF like Bill mentioned and so far so good. Now I am able to click on the user cp link with no problems at all. See if this works out for anyone else.

I cant seem to find this part........" I then clicked the link to read your private messages in the top right of the screen....right below where it says 'Welcome, LoneStar' (or whoever)

the security token error message takes up the entire portion of my window from left to right so can't find the private messages area you are talking about above. My only option is to send an email to the administrator.

ummmm very strange I could turn off DST on the entire forum I wonder if that would help

Turning it off seems to have worked for me as well. Better than changing my local time (which didn't really work).

I started to get it too, but only if I access MAAST thru my favorites. If I type in the page from my home page no problems.

Its a problem with the skin we are running its not processing the security token correctly. I have a help desk ticket out to see if the have fixed files for it. If not I will have to search the code and try to fix it myself.

try this if you are having trouble getting into your user cp:

start at www.maast.org (http://www.maast.org) (not the forum list). click on the user cp link in the top menu bar. if it gives you the error message, hit back and try again. if it lets you thru, click on "edit options" on the left. if it gives you the error, hit back and try again. when i did it yesterday, i got the error message once at each click.

Before I changed the daylight savings time on my profile, I would constantly get stuck trying to go to the user cp. For those that do get stuck, just go to your 'private messages' link on the home page and that will bring you to your inbox page. From there you can see the column on the left where you can edit your daylight savings time.

LoneStar's solution worked for me. Works fine now.

I'm guessing that with the change in daylight savings time DATE a year or so ago, the software didn't keep up with it.

I would have thought that would be a problem only for the last week though as we would have normally changed over Oct 26th rather than Nov 2nd. In this case it started happening on Nov 2nd as far as I can remember.

ok please post if you have the problem again after you clear your internet cache and re-login to maast. I did too large updates and I'm currently running default templates to see if the problem goes away.
Thanks,

Previously I was having the problem consistently for about a week.
