Your tank is coming along nicely. Seems like everyone is interested on those zoas on the overflow box. They look like the colony Melev has in his tank. Where did you acquire them, if you don't mind asking? I've been searching for those for awhile.

.... not too sure what's wrong with your camera, if you had a macro feature it would work a WHOLE lot better. I would just mess with the focusing of it some more.

Have you tried to upload them on your computer yet? Most of the time the pictures look alot better when full sized. But for some reason they do look really blurry.

... I will admit, I've been a lazy aquarist the past couple of weeks. There is some hair algea I need to treat and the glass need to be scraped, but with school, the band, and work I've been tired. I promise I'll get clean'n this week.lol

I've got a Kalkwasser drip goin as we speak, all levels will be tested tommarrow.

So here's my test, I picked up a couple of "dying" Acro's from the frag tank about a month ago. I want to do a clam, but I feel I shouldn't jump into one just to see if he will make it, ...so I feel if I see some good growth in my Acros I should be good for a clam.

It was doing REALLY good ... until I knock the tip off putting in the new LR.:sick::at_wits_end::mad::thumbs_down:. There's some good growth around the base though.:applause:

All of the polyps have been out, and the bleaching on the bottom (in between the rock) has started to get color back.






I've been meaning to pick up a bigger piece of Tri, but when those ORA Frags came in at work I fell in love.:bigsmile::bigsmile::bigsmile::bigsmile:


To be honest I'm suprised there are still there ... someone picked up the Red Planet and Blue BottleBrush, but there's a Green Birdsnest and Blue Voodoo call'n my name.:shades:

Yea, we've had that Derasa Clam in the aquapod for a while ... I should pick him up.

Hell yeah, glad ya came in. Good talk on phosphates and the "square" method on PH, Alkalinity and such. Really put it in perspective.:shades:

I'll get some pics up this weekend, a rock was removed and a little aquascapeing was done. I've included a mushroom that was about the size of a nickel and now .... whoa.lol. I've been waiting to post pics for a while because I've decieded to try a Carnation. I didn't want to show a before and after of something like from beautiful coral to a shrivled knub. But it's been a couple of months, thriving really well and has dropped two arms already that are also doing really good.

I'm will be receiving 5 or 6 really nice LPS frags on tuesday that I'm thinking about just getting rid of since my 40g really isn't set up to house LPS. I'm getting them through a trade with a member on another forum, and the deal was to good for me to pass up. I'm getting a couple of acans, kryptonite candycanes, and a blasto that is just ridiculous. Your tank is probably set up much better than mine to house this stuff, let me know if you may be interested in any of it, I highly doubt you will see any LPS like what I'm getting available locally. For now that is, I'm sure AM's will have all of our LPS needs covered soon at the rate they're going, lol.

yeah i put one of the frags in my nano directly under a 70w mh. yeah stupid move. it went from sherbert to milk in less the 48 hrs. oh well, the colonies are doing well in the large tank though. i just didn't realize how bright that light was.
