Got a 1/4hp model. Here's the good and the bad.
Good:
1. Very quite compared to other models I've owned.
2. Internal temp probe which measures in 1/10 degrees (last model had an external probe and only read whole #'s).
3. This 1/4hp unit runs half the time the previous 1/3hp chiller ran (I did not make any changes to ventilation or the tank's heat load)
4. Both inlet and outlets are located on the top (Last model had inlet on side of the unit and outlet on the other side which made for some installation problems.
Bad:
1. Fan motor made a horrible screaching sound upon initial startup. Took the cover off and found the fan shroud had been dented and was causing fan blades to rub up against it. Took a pair of pliers and bent the housing back. This could have been caused by UPS, so this may not be a factory issue.
Overall, I do not regret purchasing this model and would recommend it to anyone who asks.
