Hey folks.. I just had an explosion of these little flat white "dots" in my tank. They are eating algae, so for now they are my friends - until someone tells me otherwise. Surely someone here knows what they are and whether I have a problem... Thanks!!!
Not a very good pic, but gives you an idea... At a glance they have zero features outside: flat, white, oval. They're actually kinda cool.. I hope they're good.

They look like Nerite Snail Eggs. They could be baby snails or small flatworms, but they don't look like it.

They're mobile, and eat a clear path through any algae the encounter. If they were eggs, they've hatched. They all look identical. I guess the only thing that varies is the "oval-ness". ???

probably flat worms and i don't think they are generally a problem.

In two of my fuges, I have some snails that are that small.

Do you know what they are? They're literally the size of the middle-sized bubbles in the animated scene below Solid's post above.

i believe they are small acoel flatworms.as long as they aren't the red kind you'll be fine
