I bought mine at Regal Plastics in San Antonio.

Its under the name HDPE, both regal plastic and allied plastic sell it. Not that it really matters but I like allied plastic, they are a whole lot friendlier and a little cheaper.

If you cant find what you are after locally, let me know. I bought 1/2" black HDPE via web for my barebottom tank. Wasnt cheapest stuff. 36" x 24" x 1/2" was about $80.

i am wondering if i should go white or black with HDPE?

Just depends on what kinda look you are going for. White will reflect light back up to your corals. Eventually, they will both turn pink with coraline algea.
