Back from MACNA!
I was most looking forward to Koji Wada's presentation on Japanese Aquariums during the Saturday night cocktail party.
The presentation was great, and very inspirational to say the least.
During his presentation, he talked about something that I am really interested in, the Japanese spotlight.
I was able to find his blog:

and find some cool pictures.
Here are a few:

Spotlights anyone? A beautiful example:

Here he is, talking about the light. He had one for the presentation, that apparently was made to work with U.S. voltage, unlike any other, and the reason why they have not been available in the U.S. I was surprised and excited about this aspect!

After the presentation, they fielded a bit of Q&A. We left the presentation and decided to stop off at the Hotel bar.
Koji just happened to be at the table behind us enjoying a drink as well!
James (headless_donkey) and I finally worked up the courage to introduce ourselves. Koji has to be the coolest guy Ive met. We ended up hanging out with him for a long time. He showed us videos and pictures he took at his favorite diving spot, they were amazing.
Did I mention he was funny too?

Little did I know, the next day at the trade show, the spotlight from his presentation was for sale at the Two Little Fishies booth! I made a quick trip to the ATM machine and it was mine.

Something else that is exciting from Koji's blog, James and I appear in a picture! This was after we had been hanging out with him for a while. We are right behind him :D

Yes sir, think Japanese!

hmmm, Japanese are known for their beautiful planted tanks, angel tanks, koi, cold water , awowana tanks, etc...... Im clueless, but as mentioned there is your for sale thread so you are definatley going a unusual route. Do not leave us in the dark for to long
