Hi All,
My BTA split again. Does anybody want a clone for $80.00? These guys are beautiful. They're orange with purple tips and a green colored oral disk.
I'm in north central S.A.

She's about 6 inches expanded. She's actually not the most recent one to split. I'm just trying to thin the herd. I have 5 clones right now.
And, She's attached to the bottom of some purple cap, so you'll probably get some of that too.

Wow. That's usually a sign of stress. I've had them split into 3 parts before.

that gold bar is going to kill those anemones. Be careful.

I often hear of BTA's splitting upon introduction to a new tank or after a water change. I have had it happen from both.
Also, is someone going to sell Christina a clone? ; )

im sure we all have clones on this thread we could offer but i think that rocketeer should have the 1st right of refusal since this is his thread.

My GSM's have gone through 3 anemones leaving them like cottage cheese.

Wow, that's pretty lucky.
Thanks, Joel, for the first right of refusal. I've still got four of these guys but I can't figure out how to extract any more without tearing up my rock pile something fierce. I usually put one up for sale when it starts roaming. I'll let you all know when that happens.
Meanwhile, I won't get my feelings hurt if somebody else sells a clone. The more of these that get spread around, the better. Fewer of them yanked from the wild.
Good luck with your babies.

I bought one from Jack about a year ago. I now have 5 clones of his original RBTA. But I don't plan on selling one anytime soon. I like them all way too much. The only one who entitled to one is Jack, that is if he ever needs one back. Thanks again Jack.

David, that's how my deal on my RBTAs is. No obligation other than if I lose all of mine. I've distributed about 15 of mine, and I know there are many clones of them running around. I'm down to 3 RBTAs and a just plain insane GBTA (20" when fully open). Like you, I'm just glad that they then are another 1 or 4 that don't come from the wild.

That is the main reason that I have Zero power heads in my main tank. It happens more time than I'd like to hear. But on a positive note, they are usually pretty resilient.

Yeah, Jack didn't ask me to. I just figured that it only makes sense. After all he paid way more than $80 for his original anemone.

Thanks guys. It's nice to know that if things were to go way wrong (knock on wood) I might be able to get some of my original family back (or clones/frags thereof).
Yeah, the mother of my RBTAs was bought about 7 years ago. There were fewer of them around then. It's kind of like buying a plasma TV. At first they were really expensive. Then later, not so much.
The good news is that, that original BTA yanked from the wild has given about ten clones to the market propagated in captivity. It sounds like some of those ten have made alot more.
I wish my elegance and blueberry gorgonian had gone so well (sob). Don't buy those unless you really have a good strategy.
