:bigsmile:what are these little tenticles with the white heads on them, they were not very many of them at first but now they have shown up in a couple more spots, are they good or bad. They only come out at night.

That looks familiar. Do they have a small orange foot, clear tentacles with white balls on the end and react sort of like a mushroom would? Read this thread and see if we are dealing with the same problem.

If so, we were able to control them fairly easily by treating them like aptasia. There was no clear convincing evidence that these are a pest, but they spread SO aggressively that I wanted them gone before they nuked all our corals.

That looks a lot like a ball corallimorph to me. They're related to anemones. As for good or bad, I'm not sure... I have a few in my refugium, and I like them a lot :) They've never reproduced quickly enough to make me worry, nor have they spread to my display, so I like to leave 'em. But you should see what other people say.... I might be wrong!
